After receiving bids from numerous repipe companies in the San Diego area, we decided to go with Ameri-Cal for a few key reasons:n1) Price. The bid from Ameri-Cal was comprehensive - new Uponor PEX pipes with a 25 year warranty, all new hose bibs, pressure regulator, drywall patch and texture, and stucco patch, and they still came in at the lowest price. All then2) Track record. They are licensed, bonded, and insured, but don't let the low number of reviews for their Carlsbad office concern you - their main office is up in Buena Park, and they have over 150 five-star reviews on Yelp. They also specialize in repiping.n3) Ease of communication. I asked for a quote over Yelp and was connected with their associate Toby, who was friendly, straightforward, and responsive over Yelp message and text. He was able to give a quote over text message rather than having to schedule a visit, which made the process much easier. I had a lot of questions both before and during the repipe process, and he was always quick to respond and professionally courteous.nnThe repipe took one day to install the pipes (8am-4pm) and one day the following week for the drywall and stucco patch (9am-3pm or so) and went very smoothly. They utilized our attic (1 story home) to route the new pipes, requiring minimal holes in the bathroom and kitchen. They were also able to repipe to the shower valves without requiring new escutcheons, which is great. The new pipes have been functioning well, and the drywall and stucco patch and texture look great. I'm glad I went with Ameri-Cal and would definitely recommend them for repiping.
