I attended this School for five years, back when I still lived in Painesville. My first day here was around 14 years ago, before they moved into St. Marys and still operated from the little building in the front. This School wasn’t perfect, and I did struggle to concentrate on my work a lot of the time due to constant distractions and screaming in the hallways, but all in all, I did enjoy my time here. I met a lot of great people here, a lot of them whom I talk to daily, and consider to be friends. I enjoyed working with a lot of the teachers at this School, though I don’t know if they would say the same because I know they would get annoyed with me because I am a slow learner. My favorite part about this School, besides the daily Martial Arts classes, was that it gave me an opportunity to be a kid again. I was being tutored at Morley Library before I heard of this School, and by chance, being there was actually how I learned that this School even existed, because I seen one of their classes during a field trip while I was in one of my tutor sessions. My tutor was a very old lady that didn’t have much time left, she and my Mother both knew that, so she recommended Summit Academy to me and my Mother and that’s how it all began. This School helped me be a kid again because it was the only School that involved socialization and face to face teaching in an actual classroom. No other Schools in that area wanted anything to do with me because of my ADD, Aspergers and depression, so I was labeled and thrown to the side when my Mother told the public school teachers and Principal that she wasn’t going to give me shady medications anymore that turned me into a zombie. I am so very grateful for going to Summit Academy and being able to be a kid again, while also meeting some pretty amazing people. I only wish it would’ve gone past 9th grade, but life doesn’t always work out the way you want it to.

This school literally saved my child's educational future. With scholastic and social diffulicties due to ADHD, he was on track to fail and drop out of his other school. He has finally made friends and even Merit Roll!

I went to school there from about 2010 to 2012. I honestly loved that school so much. The teachers were amazing when I went there, and the kids were amazing to one another. I'd give anything for a stroll down memory lane.
