Cool lighthouse with great view
Had a great walk around the lighthouse even climbed to the top and got a ribbon for it, staff was very friendly
It was closed when I got out there... Likely due to Corona. However, it's a really nice view, in a pleasant walk all around that area, and in the park down the hill.
Super cool tour. The place is well kept and I can see it thriving for decades to come!
The museum was founded in 1945 by the Fairport Harbour Historical Society, which preserves the historic tradition of Fairport Harbour and the Great Lakes area. The original lighthouse was completed in 1825. The tower stood thirty feet high, capped with an octagonal-shaped iron lantern. The museum houses a number of artefacts relating to life on the Great Lakes and other maritime exhibits.
