Incredibly friendly staff at the museum. It's open and worth a visit especially if you are looking for a quiet spot to picnic or looking for fun trails. They have a great mix of trails here ranging from easy to some of the toughest and steepest in the area. There are also some beautiful overlooks including one with the Jeremiah Morrow Bridge set in the distance. Its wonderful that this amazing piece of historic land has been preserved. I recommend a visit here.

There's so many things to love about an outing at Fort Ancient--from the fascinating visuals and history in the museum, to the gardens just outside where you'll learn what the Native Americans actually planted, to the woodsy hiking trails nearby! Most importantly, you realize how much history took place right in our corner of Ohio.

They have a lot of different trails around the area with some nice picnic grounds in the back. The trails aren't that well kept but that adds to the nature feeling. Also, while you're there at least visit Eagle's trail for a nice view!

The trails could be marked a little better but all in all a nice walking trail and beautiful this time of year

Great spot for short, flat hikes. Interesting history. Good signage, friendly staff. Small museum on site.nnMany benches, picnic tables, spots to rest and relax. Definitely a nice place for an outing. Mostly shades on walking paths.
