The ropes mansion was a beautiful stop on our trip around Salem. The garden behind the house was quaint, pretty and had some lovely flowers which considering it was near the middle of October was impressive. If you are going to stop and get a picture at the mansion you must walk behind the house to view the garden. The garden is open 24hrs a day. Taking a stroll through at night was highly recommended by our tour guides.

Really cool to see if you like Hocus Pocus, but also if you just like history! The garden is beautiful; I could have spent all day there. The best part is that it's completely free and centrally located. I would highly suggest grabbing some lunch to-go on Essex and eating it on one of the benches here.

Beautiful public garden. The mansion was closed to tours, but the garden was a lovely place to walk through. Even in the fall, there were vibrant flowers to brighten up a dreary day. Would highly recommend passing through on your way through Salem.

Picturesque! I just walked by and took a few photos. Also if you go down this street you'll come face to face with many old homes that are just as equally beautiful to stare at. If you enjoy colonial history/architecture, I recommend taking a stroll from here down some blocks to The Pickering House.

Anyone with a thing for anything witchy (Hocus Pocus), gloomy, and fall-ish will love this house & its amazing flower garden. It's even better to visit in the fall time after watching the Hocus Pocus movie! But it's also incredible to visit in summer and see the garden in full bloom. It surely has something magical to it.
