Work in progress, not one of the lirr, shining stations. Like to see some upgrades, including better lighting & ticket machines available on both platforms.

Not very eye or nose friendly. It's a very rusted station with lack of maintenance. Train service is frequent enough to Atlantic Terminal and Long Island. Crossunder is smelly but necessary to get from one side of Atlantic Avenue to the other. A couple minutes walk to Broadway Junction station on the (A)(C)(J)(Z)(L) and Atlantic Avenue on the (L).

If u are trapped on the L train side of the station, look for the hole in the ground at the small triangle intersection to your left. Beware, there is pee everywhere. The whole station is some sort of “pee sanctuary” or urine ritual site. Not big into pee magik, but there is definitely an eerie sense to the place.

This station is kind of a shame as it gets you on the LIRR so easily from surrounding neighborhoods, especially if you need to go to JFK or Jamaica or even into Atlantic terminal. Unfortunately it is very unmarked, the underpass to the eastbound platform is not well lit or marked and smells like urine and you'll be confused as to which platform you should be on.

Nice station. The lever is down to the walk that if you speed up the wheel chair it would be like a speed bump
