We frequent (New) Lucky Kitchen at least monthly, and have for several years. Though it is a small take-out restaurant,, it's run with efficiency and quality. The family takes your order, prepares it as requested and has it ready as quickly as possible. I've rarely had dinner on the table at exactly any particular time for my family members and hold no grudge against that family for not having my order, along with a dozen other family's orders, prepared at exactly any one minute. It's unreasonable to expect that of any restaurant or any chef. So I wait for an extra 10 minutes sometimes. But I'll tell you, it's certainly worth the wait. At least the food is piping hot instead of room temperature bc it was ready.20 minutes sooner than expected.
Yum yum, so the wait was about 40 mins after you got there. They started making the food only after you paid. The guy behind us waited an hour. Might not want to go if it too close to 5pm if you don't want to wait a long time. It was really crowded but the food was good.
As someone who has tried most of their dishes, I can say that this place is a lot better than it looks. Not a big fan of their beef dishes and I did find a hair in my food once, but overlooking those. All the times I’ve went was great. For those people saying the wait time is too long. Insider tip: For dinner, try ordering at 3:30-4 when they aren’t busy. Since it usually takes them 30 or so minutes to make and prepare your food (although that can change depending on your order) you should have your food by 4-5. As long as you don’t mind an early dinner, it’s definitely worth it.
Make sure you pay attention to how much they charge you. I was asked if i wanted white rice or fried and was charged 5$ extra even though it came with it
