Golden Spike Tower

If this was not located in the middle of nowhere you could hardly consider this an attraction. It is an 8 story building with views of the railroad. Unless you are a real railroad fan it is not that interesting. I only gave it two stars instead of 1 because the fall festival they hold here is actually kinda cool for small kids.

What a neat place. As a train fan I could spend hours watching trains, but even my wife enjoyed it. We took our English Bulldog with us up the elevator and out to the observation deck too. A nice way to spend an hour or so!

Huge draw for train buffs. Trains literally as far as you can see. But also a ton of sandhill cranes came in to rest while we were there. Great to see them from above and enjoy their song and dance.

The buildings and displays were very nicely set up. Would recommend if you are in the NP area.

History of railroad interesting. My Dad retired from Union Pacific RR after 45 years. Brought back lots of memories.
