For all intents and purposes, the Before photos were what the carpet looked like after a commercial cleaner came to clean for us. It was clean, but it wasn't *clean*. My mother was convinced that she would have to tear up the carpet and reinstall something new.nnAnd then, she met Tim Williams.nnAlthough he was doing a service in the basement for her ( mold/water damage ) he mentioned that he also cleaned carpet and that he could get it clean even better!nnHe wasn't kidding at all. Just look at the difference! My mom was amazed! ( last photo ) He did a great job with the basement as well!nnMr. Williams is highly skilled and knowledgeable about his work and he has the right products and equipment to throughly get the job done! If you are in Detroit or the surrounding Metropolitan Detroit area, set up a house call with The Disaster Doctor!!

I had a great experience with this company, the owner himself cleaned my carpet. He was very professional and did an Amazing job, i had a grease stain I was trying to get out for years, my carpet looked brand new after he got done with it. He got a loyal customer now!!!

Unfortunately, our experience with Disaster Doctors was disappointing. We stressed from the beginning that we and the buyers (waiting for closing) would be concerned with any signs of lasting water damage and would be expecting professional results. Tim attained drywall/paint and flooring estimates assuring us that he uses “only the best”. He promised the work (excluding the cabinet rebuild) would be completed within a few weeks. Three weeks in and the crew was still trying to figure out how to replace the drywall on the family room ceiling. Seams were showing and in one spot in the kitchen they used the wrong size drywall which needed to be removed and replaced.nAt that point we chose to use the flooring company installer for the carpet in the bedroom and basement. When I moved the storage boxes back into the basement after the carpet was installed I found boxes still filled with stagnant water and items floating in water. I have no idea how Tim’s crew moved them during the remediation without noticing they were filled with water.nFour weeks into the restoration the buyers completed a walk through. At that time there were noticeable cracks in the family room ceiling and the paint was spotty and uneven in the kitchen also. And the crown molding! Tim and his crew refinished the oak floor and crown molding, spent several days trying to install it, but apparently had no idea how to do it. He had several different helpers show up but there were gaps filled in with wood putty and rows of nail holes as they apparently hoped to hit something. Tim told us it was one of the hardest things he’s ever done. The hole that his workers put in behind the master bedroom door was filled in and painted without proper sanding.nWe were not only extremely disappointed but embarrassed that the buyers claimed that we intentionally chose a substandard contractor to save money and the workmanship was “shotty.” As a result, the buyers backed out before closing.nTim and his buddy claimed that he was “trying his best” and we were being too picky. Unfortunately, that statement only works for kids, effort doesn’t count when you are a professional contractor!nWe agreed that Tim could replace the oak crown molding with white since it needed to be removed and replaced. But when that was installed there were several small pieces along a wall and again rows of nail holes. At this point we had no choice but to hire a professional drywall/painter ourselves.nTim chose to do the work himself rather than subcontract it to experienced workers. As a result, we lost a buyer to our home and had to hire the subcontractors ourselves.nLastly, the lack of professionalism extended to his buddy, the one that recommended Disaster Doctors to us. He went into our daughter’s public place of employment, on more than one occasion, and told all who would listen that we were cheap to not pay Tim for the entire job, even though we had to pay actual professional carpenters to repair his work. This buddy also claimed we were asking for a perfect job! Well yes, actually we were!

Tim / Disaster Doctor performed water damage mitigation and restoration work after we had interior water damage at our home.nI could NOT be more disappointed in the quality of workmanship! He charged our insurance company for mitigation equipment that was never used on the job. His sub standard workmanship cost us a sale of our home!nWe had to bring in a PROFESSIONAL drywall / painter to fix the mess of a job that he left us.nDO NOT HIRE Tim / Disaster Doctor!nWe are filing a complaint with the State of Michigan and the BBB.
