Going down hill, staff is rude and not very helpful anymore. Prices have went up and service has went down. Still a good place to shop if you know what you need, but watch the prices on what your getting, some stuff is outrageous. Was a great store in the past but management is not very good.

They know their stuff here! You remember the neighborhood hardware store that had what you need and people who know what it is that you need to get a job done? Yeah, that's this place. Ace is the place. Who knew?

Super great experience during my first visit today. They had everything I needed and the folks working were more than friendly. Check out their power equipment section, it’s impressive.

I had the need of a replacement key fob and visited this local Ace Hardware. The ordering process was quite quick and I was out the door to await a phone call that the fob had arrived. Sooner than expected I was notified on the arrival of the fob and I scheduled a appointment to have the new one programed to my car. Upon arriving at the store I was met by Sam (Sorry I didn't get his last name) he was courteous and review the process with a fellow associate and we proceeded to the car for what I thought would be a quick and easy programming. Sam had a device that hooked into my car's computer and proceeded to go through the programming step on a tablet. After several attempts to program the new fob he contacted the first level of support. I was sitting in the passenger seat while he was in the driver's seat. I could hear the tech support walk him through the steps. At this time Sam began to apologize for the delay. I have been in customer service for 45 years and I know that Sam was working hard to resolve the problem. I am not one to get overly agitated with the roadblocks that technology can through in the way of an easy programming process. I decided to leave Sam alone with the technical support and went and sat on a pallet of stones and enjoyed the clear sunny day. After approximately 1/2 hour Sam exited the car and again apologized for the delay and the problems, I told him not to worry about it things happen. He said he spoke with the second level support and they determined that the new fob was faulty. Unfortunately while trying to program the new fob the car when into a security mode and would not allow the keys or fob to be programed and they would have to order another. The next day I called and Sam let me know that the new fob had not arrived yet and I chose to go and pick up the car since that were able to remove from the security mode and was able to get my old fob and key working. When I arrived Sam again apologized and said that the new fob had just been delivered. So he started the programming again and within 15 minutes both the old and the new fob and key was programmed. Success!! Sam continued to apologize and I continued to assure him that all was good on my end, I was just happy to have a working fob. Sam was patient, did not get flustered and worked through the process. Knowing that Sam did not intend for this to happen there was no reason for me to become upset, ranting and raving normally does not get you anything but high blood pressure. So to Sam I say thank you for your diligence and patience, you are a credit to customer service.

Only the cashier seems to wear a mask. Even during a full blown pandemic. Not cool
