Never open when i try to stop by, third time no luck. Please update hours on your website to reflect actual hours so I don't drive 30 minutes to get sushi to find out you are closed, despite being listed as open on google, yelp, and tripadvisor.nnEdit: 3 years later, I’m outside their shop calling in an order only to find out they don’t open until 4:30 :(nnI drove 30 minutes to eat here. I’m not sure why but after multiple attempts over the years to eat here, I give up. They need to work on making their hours posted online more accurate.
Called, went to voicemail instructing to send order via text. Did so with no response after 34 mins. Drove past after work to see one car waiting, and due to fresh snowfall you can see it wasn't busy.nnSo due to recent reviews and my experience, or lack of, guess I was served disappointment, but hey at least it was free!
Lived in Japan for a while and was craving Japanese food... if you are looking for real authentic Japanese food... this place is NOT it. Probably top 5 worst tasting ramen I have ever had. The soft boiled egg was raw, they used DILL PICKLE in the ramen?! You can tell the noodles they use are cheap, due to how thin they are. Dumplings were rather bland. Seating area is TINY. They use 3/4 of the store for cooking and storage and 1/4 for seating. Order took a while and the woman working, she said she was the husband/owners wife, was very blank in how she talked - more annoyed that I would inquire about the restaurants background and the cooks experience in Japanese food.
Kids love the tuna poke bowls and ask me to order double portions for them.
Best sushi Up North! Get it every time we are near Traverse!!
