What a delightful surprise to find out my husband‘s great grandfather and great uncle were original shareholders at this Cotton-gin! Our Tour Guide Steph was very knowledgeable, personable and informative. You learned so much and truly appreciate the sacrifices people made when they lived off the land. In honor of my husbands and daughters ancestors, we even purchased a Legacy Brick on the path from the museum to the gin. This is a true gem in the little town of Burton Texas!

Hard to find authenticity like this anymore. Glad we were able to share this experience with our kids.
We had a great time with the family (including two young sons). The tour was interesting and not too long, and you got to go inside and outside of the gin itself. Plus we were able to pick some cotton ourselves to take home. It will definitely be a nice memory.
What a very interesting experience. Highly recommend taking one of the tours.
