A highly dedicated, caring, and honest faculty and staff! By far the best school in Tyler. My daughter has learning disabilities that prohibit the way she learns. Owens special education teachers are so amazing and helped her establish and use the tools needed to get past her learning curve and out of special education. When my daughter moved up to middle school I have to say the lack of concern for her education, grades, and behavior, (not to mention the faculty at said middle school have no communication skills with parents)was and still is appalling. I guess I am humbled in the realization that we were blessed to have gotten such a fantastic school and the superb staff and faculty who cherish and help prepare our shinning stars towards open roads of life. Thank you to the great Owens TISD employees and PTA volunteers that work with our kids and encourage positive behaviors that will carry them everywhere they go in life.
I have 2 children going there...I feel comfortable talking with the teachers and principal...no uniforms...great policies and beliefs...I highly recommend this public school...
