Very interesting and informative. Nice people who are willing and able to answer questions. The animals are accessible and the houses and barns are easy to see into. You can't go into the actual house because of the pandemic but it's still fun to walk around.

It was very informative. The people were friendly and full of information. The area is very well kept. Chickens, mules and ox. Wood working was really fun to watch.

Very well maintained replica of an 18th century working farm, nestled back in a quaint valley. We visited with a group of four and had hoped to see the orientation video. Were told that it's been broken for 4 years. Too bad. Were also told that the state decided to sell the property as it's not a money-maker. Too bad, but loss revenues is an issue everywhere. Love this place though.

Our family of 4 (including one teen, one tween) had the best time on our visit to The Homeplace yesterday. There were plenty of outbuildings and areas to explore and every staff person we met or had the chance to interact with was friendly and knowledgeable. Our favorite was the lady working in the big house/homeplace--our kids were amazed at the stories she told, both about living during that particular historical time period, and also about the actual home itself and how it was floated down the river to be situated where it now stood. (And her examples of tatting and crochet were lovely!)nnWould highly recommend for families--even those with hard to impress teens/tweens. ud83dude01

Awesome place. A must see if you are in the area. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the 1800s farm.
