Cummins Falls State Park

Beautiful park. Check out the new ranger station and trails. Be careful if you go down to the bottom of the falls. Flash flood have killed several people down there. Call ahead if you want to hike to the bottom. Sometimes it's closed due to flooding. Also, you need a permit to get to the bottom last I checked. This is a great swimming hole but it gets crowded on the weekend. Try going on a weekday to have it to yourself.

Beautiful waterfall! Sadly the weekend we went the gorge was closed due to high waters. But even the view from the top showed a beautiful blue water below, which we cannot wait for summer to come back. The hike on the other hand was short to the lookout but still provided an awesome view.

Great State Park for quick visit. Cummins Falls State Park is for day use and has only a few miles of trails. They have a brand new visitor is nice and the staff are welcoming. The Falls are beautiful and worth the stop.nn***Permit required for base of Fall and can be very dangerous.*** We only hiked the upper trails.

Very good signage on the drive to the park. Easy trail to the waterfall overlook. There's a gift shop and nice facilities. We enjoyed our visit.

One of most amazing waterfalls in Tennessee. Its a short easy hike from the state park office to the overlook. Permit is needed to hike the gorge. This place has a trails for hiking. Park office has restroom. Staff was helpful.it was not crowded when we came due to cold weather but we still enjoy the park for ourselves.
