Red Roof Inn Monteagle – I-24

First of all I didn't stay at this property by choice, but after the first night I continued my stay because the housekeeping staff was so friendly and helpful. My car broke down and I was essentially stranded here and it was only the kindness of these strangers that got me through the week there alone and with no car . I essentially paid full price for a room with no toilet paper holder, no working exhaust fan, and the air conditioning unit was so filthy I got a sinus infection and spent two days in bed running a 102° temperature.. long story short I made friends with the guys next door and when I needed a place to sit and wait for my ride to pick up my car they were nice enough to let me hang out in their room for a few hours... So my ride arrived and stepped in to help me get my luggage and there was another knock on the door.. I answered and it was the manager. He was extremely rude and demanded to know what I was doing in the room...what was the name of the person who rented the room.. I was informed that he had the right to interrogate me like a criminal and that I have a bad attitude and I shouldn't speak to him this way.... Really?? I pay you over $500 to stay in a complete dump so you can scold me like a child minutes before I leave the property and threaten to call the police?? Because I was calmly and quietly minding my own business before you spoke to me like I was trash... I will never give this company another dollar of my money... I would however pay to see this man stranded in my position and see how well he fares without the basic human decency and empathy of a stranger.

The price was great and they allowed pets without an extra fee. The gentleman, at the desk, was very nice. The room was nice (no carpet! Which I love) the towels though, were very stained. Clorox bleach does wonders or maybe they should invest in some new towels. Centrally located to gas and food. A bit noisy on our side, from the highway. Maybe the side where the office is, would be quieter. I would also suggest a little better weatherstripping around the doors.

Need update ASAP..Overpriced for the kind of hotel it is . Very small fridge, no microwave, back of hotel near I 24 E. Very noisy, Hot water runs out fast.. The good about it.. Friendly and fast service, very attentive right off 24 E , Pilot gas station, Dunking Donuts and Wendy's near by.. Very clean rooms. I was on a Road Trip with my little ones was good enough to spend the night .

We only stayed long enough to change clothes as we felt completely unsafe at that location. The room was clean, yes, But the outside is clearly misrepresented on the site. We're pretty sure a drug deal happened while there, and that people were living there the way the back of the motel looked. Unless you're desperate for a place to stay, or are armed, I would move on

Affordable.. Housekeeper was friendly.. clean. No bugs .. no spiders.. bathrooms weren't old or dirty nor were they in need of repair.. The sheets were soft and unstained and washed.. .. Quiet... no real complaint on our room where smoking was available . . (Hallelujah ud83dude4f) .. The front desk however never wanted to answer the phone and it took forever to get even an answer from the door .. Which made reaching them for any reason a rather semi difficult task
