Long story short: I had my wallet stolen. Someone found me on Facebook and said they found it. They didn’t leave it at the cashier at the gas station, they left it under a brick in the back of the dumpster. The gas station attendant refused to look to help out. I live 2 hours from where it was found. I started driving when my brother suggested I call the police to see if they would help. They did. An officer went to the gas station and tracked down my wallet. At night, in the rain. Thank you to dispatch for taking the call and not laughing at me and thank you to the officer for going out of their way and tracking it down. Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Looks like the WHOLE dept. needs training on public photography ...that WILL be happening SOON , like it or NOT ...OR you can get sued the next time you lay hands on a citizen practising a constitutionally protected activity ....you all DO know what the constitution is RIGHT ...its that thing you SWORE an oath to protect but are on video stomping all over ....GET TRAINED or get SUED !!

Using physical force against journalists who are filming at the police station? You folks ever hear of the first amendment? Tyranny is alive and well in Haywood County. Your Lt. Fisher is a moron with a badge. Please educate him on basic constitutional rights before he gets someone hurt.
