A gem for the area, a great place for a family outing, a field trip, or even a nice walk. One of the finer museums one could ever go to. Because of how well they maintain, this facility qualifies for numerous traveling exhibits. Something for everyone here. Facilities are modern and clean. Concessions available. One thing to note, before approaching the ticket counter, decide if you wish to engage in the extras. The tower is neat, and worth it at least once. The movie and the earthquake simulator are great.
This place is huge. There really is something for everyone. The staff were helpful, polite. It rained while we were there, the outside playground is also tons of fun.We went two day in a row and still didn't see everything. I recommend it for parents of preteen and teenagers who are looking for something to do together and everyone can have a awesome time. Its not that expensive either even the gift shop had good prices. Its worth the drive and money..
This is a great place for kids to visit. There is so much here it is definitely a 2 day trip. You can spend a whole day inside and another outside. There is plenty for the adults to enjoy as well. Hotels are within walking distance and plenty of restraints within 10 minutes. The onsite restaurant is surprising affordable with lots of options.
This is a great museum featuring exhibits both indoors and outdoors. When you visit you will learn about subjects dating from pre-history all the way up through several historic periods and on to the present. It would be hard to see everything there in just one day if not impossible. The mix of interactive exhibits, more traditional exhibits, animal habitats, and educational media there all make the Discovery Park of America a good way to spend the day for people of all age groups.
Best family museum and science park! I've taken the kids to lots of museums and parks, including science and discovery museums in several different cities. This one wins so far. The exhibits are great, the staff is friendly, it's fun, and is impeccably clean. The only drawback, if we need to mention one is the limited food options for lunch at the cafe. Everything else is spectacular. The kids can't wait to come back!
