Great tour and history of the Bible and other ancient works. I highly recommend!

I made a special trip here because of the glowing reviews. I found the building open, no one at the desk and the museum closed for 7 months. It’s curious that a month ago someone left another glowing review, but the museum has been closed since June 2019 (it’s now October) only to (according to a sign posted inside the building) reopen on January 23, 2020. Eventually I found someone in the building who confirmed that the museum was closed, but she was aloof and unconcerned. Upon checking the website, admittedly there is a small, incidental statement that they will be closed until “January 16, 2020” but it is hidden in the midst of the description of how great the museum is. Maybe it’s the best museum in the world. I won’t be back to find out.

They have some great artifacts. I highly recommend a visit here maybe multiple visits to really appreciate everything.

We’re so lucky to have such a great collection here on campus! You can spend well over an hour pouring over all the information in this exhibit. It’s been set together very well by the staff and whenever you decide to visit, a volunteer docent will be more than happy to give you a tour.

If you are interested in Biblical Archaeology, then you need to visit the Lynn H Wood Archaeology Museum. They still believe that the Bible is relevant today and useful to help understand what we find under the ground.
