Would give them negative stars if that was possible. The level of incompetence at performing the basic functions of their job is astounding. We are foster parents and were scheduled to have a court hearing date at 2pm to try to reunite the child with their birth family. We don’t actually get into the court room until 445, the hold up for looking for an interpreter. We are left in the dark with no updates. Once we get into the court room, it’s realized that the birth mother (who was present) was never appointed a court ordered attorney. How after a few months of foster care and another 3 hours of delayed court time this was not noticed sooner is astounding. So now the hearing is delayed another 6 weeks. Aside from wasting an entire afternoon for us and the kids family during normal work hours, these are KIDS lives and well-being we are talking about here, and we were treated with such assembly line-like matter of factness. Someone needs to be held accountable.

We called the morning of going to get our marriage license. Was told we can come in today. Drove 2 hours out started filling out the application for a woman to walk in and tell us we couldn't do our application today. We would have to mail it. Why couldn't we finish out application? Absolutely stupid. Thanks got wasting a whole day for us. Bad impression of Spartanburg. You guys really suck!!!!!

I have been dealing with Spartanburg County Courthouse since 2017. They have served Jeremy Douglas Johnson three other times for child support. Of course he is a no show. They slide you a cut piece a paper through a glass window and say to call on Wednesday. You call and it takes weeks before they decide to bring you back in. Another day missed from work. So as of 06/10/2019 Jeremy Johnson is behind $7920.95. Because they allow it to happen. While waiting to see a judge my name is called the lady tells me there is nothing that can be done. My two children that need that money aren't going to see a dime. Has the nerve to put the blame on the attorneys but not themselves whom has served him three other times. I have called weekly. The judge signed off on not getting a bench Warrent on May 0, 2019. So Spartanburg County Court house house fir the Clerk of Court is a joke. You will receive no hel for your children. They don't care.

After dealing with these people for over 15 years I'm glad my dealing with them is almost over !! They treat non custodial parents like they're automatically deadbeat parents ! They are so nasty and rude when they have to do their jobs. A very few are polite but it's rare. They let some people walk and skip the state knowing they owe thousands but if the local parents get just a few hundred dollars behind they issue court papers and bench warrants. I'm done putting my daughter's father through this outdated system.nI'd give -5 on ratings if I could. Sptg county is just crime central and money hungry !!
