I booked a room at Wyndham 6 days ago and after reading reviews about how nasty and substandard the rooms were, I needed to cancel and stay somewhere else but Wyndham refuses to respond to the third party that I booked them with. Five emails were sent and two -phone calls were made to them. All booking.com needs is a RESPONSE from Wyndham to make an exception and cancel the reservation for free. As a reward member I am shocked at the piss poor attitude that I'm receiving. I expected more from them. I refuse to stay in an unclean environment. Especially during a pandemic. If I contacted you about making a reservation, you would have responded immediately on Monday. So no response five days later is unacceptable. I'll have to make a BBB complaint.
We had an unexpected night out, literally. Our house sold, the sale of our next house fell through, we moved into our RV and the brakes were failing. We had to stay at a hotel close to were our RV was overnighting for repairs. I was a ball of nerves. The staff at Wyndham were very great at social distancing, and everything was extra clean. For safety reasons, the breakfast choices were all prepackaged options. I appreciated that. I highly recommend them if you are ever in the area and need a clean room with a professional, yet friendly, atmosphere. The front desk has a drawer of restaurant brochures that deliver to them also. After our long day, that was very helpful.
Warning Tesla owners - Charger not workingnnTheir destination charger was working when I got there. I only booked this hotel because they had the charger.nnAfter 16 hours of driving all I wanted to do was sleep. So, I booked a hotel with a destination charger... or so I thought.nnTried plugging it in, no light and no charge. It was 12/23 10pm. Lady at the front said, no one comes in Tesla often and she didn’t know what was wrong.nnI went to the supercharger 6 minutes away. Ended up getting to bed 40 minutes late.nnChecked out.... Room was fine, by the way ud83dude2c... while checking out, the same lady was there with either the engineer or manager. She mentioned the issue and he said , “did you cut the switch on?”..... tested it, and sure enough, it started charging.nnNow, I have to charge the car again at the supercharger the next morning, due to sentry mode draining the battery.nnIf you are staying there, make sure they cut it on.nnThis lady, at least, had zero ownership. If all she did was call this manager, instead of make excuses, it would have solved the problem.
I know!!!nCovid! so that is the excuse for all sub-standard efforts in our culture now!nPretty hotel but needs some improvements in custodian and maintenance areas.nTrash out front when I arrived.nFix the faucets and clean the mold in the air return in the bathroom # 237.nGood note - Nice staff.
Stayed 2 nights. Room was never made up after first night. Ironically (or not) this was my 2nd room. The one they originally assigned hadn't been made up either. In retrospect, shocking!nnIt was mostly quiet except for the unattended barking dogs two doors down.
