Si Señor Restaurant

We have been going there as a family for more than 10 years, but unfortunately they have let us down over and over again. The food is good. Its rich with flavor and has good spices added to it that make it traditional New Mexico Food. However, and I don’t know if they do this to ALL people, but servers seem to categorize you based on race and give you the hot salsa if they see you Hispanic and only upon request do they offer mild salsa, and only of the server is nice enough to give it to you. I wouldn’t mention this if it had not happened several times already. The ambience is good, although the music is too loud and it’s usually cold because not only do they have tables where the air host but they have fans on to which makes your food get cold fast. The service is not how it used to be. Today I went in the hopes that we would have better luck with service but unfortunately it was the same or worse. After asking talking to him and asking him how many tables he was serving and his response was that it was only four, it was disappointed good to see that our drinks were not refilled, he didn’t bring chips or salsa until 10 min after we were sat, took forever to bring extra sauce ( brought salsa for my plate when I was almost finished), and wanted to take our plates when we’re weren’t even finished yet, etc. The time before the server completely forgot about us and took FOREVER to bring us stuff. To the point I had to get up and get napkins from their little place because he was nowhere to be found. The restaurant wasn’t even full. I miss the old good service as I believe it’s necessary for a restaurant, after all, your spending time and money for being there. Overall, I recommend the food, but good luck with the service.

The margaritas are terrible, the food is, at best, edible.

Seated quickly. Our waiter came quick but then kept forgetting items. Only brought one straw when two were needed. Forgot to bring my drink two times. Food was delicious. It didn't seem too busy, but maybe he was, but what really upset us is when we asked for our 2 cinnamon sopapillas to go and got 2 plain ones in a Greasy paper bag.. WOW.. No wrapper no napkin no to go container just placed in the bottom of a paper bag.. So Disappointing. Not a good first impression for us.

I should probably give 4 stars, but this place never disappoints. When we come from California, we always come here. Today was an extra long wait for us. Over an hour. I think they messed up somehow, but if we are going to drive for 11 hours, what is one more? Our server was Lauren. She was very accommodating. Her positive attitude helped out a lot. My kids were grumpy for the wait. They have never had to hurry up and wait lime my wife and I have. The food was delicious as always. Collectively, we had enchiladas, rolled taco, burritos, and other food. Very delicious. The hot green chile was hot and the mild was just right for the kid. We will be back on all of our future trips.

OMG, I got out of work early due to car problems, was waiting on news of my truck, and just happened into Si Senor Restaurant. What a wonderful place!!! $5 dollar Happy Hour drinks (32 oz Negra Modello), chips and salsa with 4 sides (free of charge) salsa, queso, hot refried beans (spicy) and finally a green salsa that'll set your mouth on fire. Best 1 drink Happy Hour I've ever experienced!!!
