Nice place friendly staff. Very helpful when getting luggage.safe place the ride share service when you get off the train is awesome also

I recently sent my daughter on a trip to New York from Fayetteville NC and the customer service was excellent at the Amtrak station. I especially want to mention George Ford. He was working at the station that evening and he was very friendly and helpful. I have read some of the negative reviews on here but, I have traveled by train several times from Fayetteville and always receive excellent customer service.

Took the train to DC for a wedding & it was awesome. Seats in coach were big & reclined & the sleeper was a neat experience with its own private bathroom. The folks at the counter were helpful, kept me updated about delays & guided me through my first solo train trip. The lady next to me on the train was nice we talked for a while. About the same as driving, but more relaxing. Left my truck in the parking lot & it was safe/well lit & cops patrolled regularly. The 100+ year old architecture is nice.

This train station SUCKS do not go here if you have an alternative. For one It took forever just to figure out where it was because there are absolutely no signs letting you know where the train station is. There was absolutely no help from the people that work there. Which was only 2 btw, I went to the line because I figured I needed to check in or something, it had no signs letting me know what it was for but there were only 3 people in front of me. I lie to you not it took at least 15 minutes for the guy behind the counter to finally get to me and once he did he told me I didn't even need to be in line. Absolutely no help. After that I had to wait for the guy that checks bags in to check mine, it again took longer than necessary and it was only one person in front of me this time. He also had an attitude and was very short with his answers. And to top it off 10 minutes before I'm supposed to board my train I hear an announcement informing me that my train will be AT LEAST 45 minutes late. I will NEVER ride with this Amtrak again and will make sure to tell everyone I know about this horrible experience so they can have a BETTER one with a better travel system.
