Having young kids, museums aren’t exactly high on their list of things to do, but this place blew us away with their hospitality and friendly staff. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by a friendly staffer who gave our kids some games and a scavenger hunt to play with stuff in the museum. To my shock, the kiddos loved it and got very into it running and yelling throughout the exhibits. Again to my surprise the staff was encouraging when at other places we would’ve been “hushed”. Best part is at the end the kids got a free prize for completing the puzzle! They LOVED IT and as a parent I really appreciated their approach and we all had a great time. Totally recommend and hope to return.
A very good look into the areas history. This area of NC has much to be proud of and a real interesting story to tell.
So cute and quaint with hands on displays and educational information. We are locals and come visit for a nice day out. Much history.
