The Spanish Immersion program is amazing here. I love how involved all the teachers are, and all the activities that the children get to do with the program.

My son is 5 and half and does not know his alphabet. In pre school he knew everything. He loved going to pre school and loved his teacher and loved learning. After he started kindergarten he knows nothing. I try and work with him every night but he barely knows how to write out his name. I know kids that are age 4 and know more then my almost 6 year old son. Every morning he cries and tells me he does not want to go to school. When he first started we had an issue with his teacher miss treating him and had to take the issue up with the principal. Im definitely going to be transfering him to a new school for 1st grade. I know its a public school but these teachers dont take their time to help students like they should. When i had a teacher confrence i explained my worries to the teacher regarding his learning and her advice was that its nothing to worry and not to be hard on my son. She told me that he will get better as he gets older. I doubt that. I think by now my son should know how to read, write and know his alphabet. Obviously it's an issue with the teachers here and the school. My son always asks me to go to his pre school teacher at his day care because he doesn't want to go to kindergarten.
