Perfect March night on the patio. If you’re in Oxford and want cool drinks and great food, head to the patio at the Chancellor. I was treated royally. Margarita ( mint and ginger ), shrimp and grits, and sweet potato fries helped wrap up a long day! Great service by a darling Ole Miss accounting major in his second week of work. The food was fresh and flavored perfectly. If you need a spot to have a great meal in a relaxed outdoor setting, this patio is for you!
The Chancellor's House in Oxford, Mississippi is beautiful. In addition to the gentile atmosphere, the historical library of Ole Miss and William Faulkner exhibits is a rare and accurate treasure for the deep south. The restaurant and bar are also excellent, and the location is within a five minute walk to the Oxford Square and historic courthouse. I highly recommend staying here.
Good for a college town. Good to okay for a metropolitan city. Carpets dirty/stained, lights out, etc. I would probably stay there again, but I'm sure they jack the rate to above what I would say is acceptable during high season.

We found this hotel to be among one of the nicest at which we have ever stayed. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and lovely with outstanding linens and bath amenities. The location could not be beat...steps to great shops and restaurants. Can’t wait to return!
