Very clean, fresh smelling restrooms and showers. Canoes and oars are in great shape. Tidy campsites. Beautiful water. Easy straightforward booking.
I rented some canoes with a group of youth students this past weekend, and we probably won’t be back. The canoes were fine, but there were nearly no adult-sized paddles which made us have to work harder. The crew members handing out paddles insisted that it didn’t matter, but it did matter.nAdditionally, the water was FULL of trash. There were beer cans, plastic bottles, plastic bags, discarded clothing, and cigarette butts everywhere. We tried to pick some of it up, but we could have filled all four of our canoes and we wouldn’t have made a dent. There seems to be little to no concern for preserving the natural beauty of the creek.nLastly, there were absolutely zero Coronavirus precautions taken by anyone. I understand this is a private business, and they can conduct their business the way they choose, but I wish we had known before we went. We chose to go to the creek knowing there was a risk of being around other people, but please know that you will be packed on to a bus where social distancing will be impossible, and no one will be wearing a mask.nI gave this business two stars instead of just one because my students still had a pretty good time. However, next time we will go somewhere a little less crowded and a lot less trashed.
We went as a group, which I suggest. Young lady who was cashier, extremely nice. Was disappointed no pre-safety class before actual trip.. But overall a great experience. Trip lasted 3 hours to half was point. Will definitely be going back soon. Thank you to all the staff of Okatoma Rental. Had a blast!!!
Me and over one hundred of people i know went down this river throughout our lives and never have i or people I know ever..ever have anything less than a great and memorable time.
The best tubing in probably the entire state. It's on more of the expensive side compared to other tubing/kayak places but the stretch of river has small rapids and baby waterfall like drops. Make it more exciting. There is also a really nice RV site nearby.
