Hey someone on Instagram were pretending to the police chief of the springfield police department by claiming they were doing an investigation on me when I live in a different state, and a different town in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania their names are Chairty Lynn Bennett and Nathan Leeper can they get into trouble for impersonating a police detective and a police officer?

Yesterday morning, Saturday the 14th, after having worked my third shift job driving a truck, my right front tire blew out while trying to head home. I found myself stranded on the side of highway 44 in Springfield near Kansas expressway.nnI lost my mother to pancreatic cancer in April of 2014 and by June 2016 I lost my son. Since then, I have found myself alone without anyone to turn to in times of trouble. Having no one to call for help, I prayed that God would send me someone to save the day as it were. A few minutes later, an officer by the name of Spence pulled up behind me on the shoulder. Although, it's not his job, and he was taking a risk, he slipped on some gloves and proceeded to attempt to put on my spare tire. However, my Jack had rusted out because of a leaky trunk in an old, beat up car. So, officer Spence, using his own AAA account, called for roadside assistance for me. After waiting with me for about 30 to 40 minutes for the tow truck to arrive, the man from AAA put on my spare tire.nnI was a woman alone on the side of the road with no one to turn to or call for help. This officer came to my rescue. It wasn't his job to fix my car. It certainly wasn't his job to be willing to pay for someone to come out and fix it. Yet, he willingly came to my rescue. I just want the opportunity to say again, thank you so much officer Spence. You have renewed my faith in humanity and in the Springfield Missouri Police department.

I did a quick online search for the police department's non-emergency number to ask a couple of questions and couldn't help but notice the troubling Google review ratings that popped up at the top of the screen.nnI've lived in Springfield for 8 years now. I've seen the quality of the city improve overall in that time due, in no small part, to the efforts of law enforcement during the tenure of Chief Paul Williams. Over the years, I have lived in many metros in many states from Detroit, to Little Rock, to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Clearwater and Tampa Florida, and many other smaller metros, to towns so small that their only law enforcement was the County Sheriff's Department. In that time I have met a number of exceptional law enforcement officers at all levelsnand have seen a number of great examples of law enforcement communities across the United States.nnI feel that the Springfield Missouri Police department is an exceptional example of a law enforcement community. In my experiences in requesting assistance from the Springfield PD the officers have always exhibited professionalism, courtesy, and integrity, and show a genuine interest in providing appropriate resolutions. Further, their response time is second to none. I have never lived in a city of this size or larger where uniformed officers were on scene in equal or less time. I have nothing but confidence when I call that an officer will be on location within minutes whether it's due to a crime in progress, suspicious individuals, or a general public disturbance. In public places the officers are highly approachable, extremely personable, and always willing to take a minute to have a conversation or listen to a concern. The recent increase in traffic enforcement has been highly noticeable and it is greatly appreciated.nnTaking a glance through a couple of dozen of the one and two star reviews for the department it's easy to see the root basis of most of those opinions.nnBased on my experiences with this department and what is unfortunately an ever-increasing need for their intervention in the Tom Watkins neighborhood, I felt obliged to share my more positive opinion of the Springfield Missouri PD.nnThank you Springfield Police Department, and thank you Chief Williams for the leadership skills required to not only maintain integrity and professionalism in the department but to continuously improve it - as well as the all-too-often unappreciated risks and effort you all put in to Springfield and it's citizens, allowing us to appreciate our city and to feel safe both in our homes and in public places.nnBest Regards. Stay Safe.
