Easton Police Department

I have numerous dealings with the Town of Easton Police Department. I have always found the department to be professional and as accommodating as possible. I have seen one review that accuses them of writing traffic citations inappropriately to make money. The PD nor the Town get those funds so that is untrue. I was a Fire-Medic in a large metropolitan area and worked with an Accredited Sheriff's office that was very professional. Easton Police Department, in my opinion, shows the same level of professionalism.

Five minutes ago, my family was traveling toward route 50 on the bypass. Police were on the shoulder responding to a car that had gone in the grass at the propane place.nWe were driving straight, even slowed down, thank God, when approaching the incident. The officer, on right shoulder, did an immediate U turn in front of our vehicle, causing us to emergency brake our brand new vehicle and slide into a halt.nThere were three police vehicles and the second watched this happen and stopped from following the first officers lead.nHe could have killed us. We are still shaking.nAn illegal UTurn in the middle of the road, and never even looked. He didn’t even acknowledge what he’d just done. We were in a brand new White Jeep Sahara, very easy to spot.nnInstead of worrying about people with minor issues perhaps maybe give your officers lessons in driving before they seriously injure or kill someone.nI’m thankful my husband was driving and not our daughter with her learners permit or this would have ended badly.

Easton Police Department has renewed my faith in humanity. I had my laptop stolen off an airplane to Baltimore. My security software pinged me an address in Talbot County, and 45 minutes after I contacted the police department, a detective had acquired it. within 24 hours, it was postmarked and mailed back to me. No one I have shared this story with believes that service like this exists, but it does in Easton.

Always nice and would never put the handcuffs on to tight and the patrol cars are pretty spacious! Thankfully all that is behind me but they always treated me well!

Christopher Westerfeild is a relatively new officer with the Easton Police department and he is by far the most professional officer I have ever had an encounter with as far as Easton Police go. He is friendly, reasonable, educated, and most of all he is very professional. A role model for the Easton Police Department.
