It looked a bit underwhelming at first, a little bit rundown, but it grows on you. We actually found the back more charming than the front, which looks a little barren. It's pretty in a rustic, Restoration Hardware kind of way. It's surrounded by a golf course and charming scenery as well. The light house is undergoing some repairs so it seems like it won't be completely open until some time in 2021. There is an overlook behind the lighthouse, but the view is limited as some areas are closed off for safety reasons. Would definitely visit again.
such an amazing history around it. beautiful view of the ocean. you can see ships big and small. they have a good selection for the gift shop as well!
A short flat paved trail leads from the parking lot out to the Lighthouse. It seems to be used by golf carts as well for the course nearby. You can walk around the Lighthouse and another trail takes you out to a wooden platform with a nice view back towards the Lighthouse and the golf course but I was expecting an ocean view and that wasn't happening. Easy walk to a picturesque Lighthouse.
One of our favorite lighthouse’s to visit. The history is rich and the story of how they moved the lighthouse is incredible. Good place for a family walk!
Closed for major structural repairs until 2021. The lighthouse is basically deconstructed. No photo opportunities
