I visited with my mother and aunt. We had a great time. The weather was nice for Columbus weekend. The gardens were at the end of the season but still very enjoyable. There is certain beauty in dried flower heads among dying yellow leaves and late blooms. The car museum was especially nice as I love early automobiles. The grounds cover a large area so there is a notable amount of walking if you want to see everything. My mother is 74 and did well but was quickly napping after we arrived home. We had a great day, what a wonderful visit!
This place is a gem! We were so excited to find a museum during this pandemic that still brings joy and education.nnTip: get a discount code from a Cape library, but you will need to open a free Clam Card. We got 50% off. A family of 5 that is a huge savings.nnAll of the exhibits were opened (limited capacity rotation) and the staff was so helpful and generous.nnMy kids had a blast seeing the special outdoor exhibits with the Legos. There was a scavenger hunt too. They also loved all the different water elements. Best of all the treehouse and play area was a hit.nnMy wife and I loved the mazes, beautiful gardens and flowers. We can't wait to come back. This will be part of our annual trip to the cape. Relaxing and tranquil, with a nice stroll.
A must see Estate.
I am glad that I added the visit to Heritage Museums & Gardens to my trip to the Cape in October 2020. It’s beautiful, educational, and a lot of fun. The gardens and plants are well maintained. The antique car museum is cool, and the cars are shining in the room. There is a special exhibition displaying the old New England games and toys that the younger generation has never heard of and feel new about. It’s recommended to spend at least 2 hours here if you won’t miss all the cool stuffs.
Great place for few hours. Well maintained plants, trails and rich with information. Almost every tree here is named. Great bloom of hydrangea and mature rhodedendron trees. Magnificent collection of vintage cars. Didn't find much info/pointers on nature trails which were advertised. Overall a great place to visit during spring/summer.
