Wonderful folks to work with for many years!! The Canfor/Balfour location is a premium producer for some of the best quality Southern Pine Lumber in the United States in sizes of 1x4 to 1x12 in the grades of C/Better, D and number 2 grades of Kiln Dried Lumber. I had just started working there right around Christmas holidays. Christmas week wasn't a mandatory work week. I was going to but got sick at mama's Christmas day with a virus and couldn't. Being a new employee, I had no number to call and let them know. The following Monday I showed up to go to work just to find out that I got fired for not showing up to work on Christmas week( a non-mandatory work week). What kind of person fires a good person for that? I can't understand this. Nor will I ever probably.
