Nice trail with plenty of benches to rest upon. It's shady, and you get a beautiful view of Pensacola Bay.
I have attended a memorial service and a small wedding here. I have spent time just sitting here and drifting off to a good a place in my heart. Currently I am watching white egrets build their nests in the trees. There is very good energy in this little spot on the island. Perhaps because of the good folks that made it happen and protect it and the good man for whom it is named. Could be, too, that all the plants you see here are indigenous. No matter, if you are seeking a place that will calm your spirit this is it.
Love this park always stop and get our picture taken in the same tree every time we leave the beach!
If your a nature freak like me, you haven't lived until you've picnicked here. Breathtaking and the true meaning of Florida.
