Step back in time and learn about the early days of Trans-Atlantic communication, on this fascinating museum and tour. Features original equipment from the stations founding in the late 1800's, through it's closing in the 1950s. Pairs nicely with a follow-on tour of the Marconi Wireless Station.

What a wonderful preservation of history. Free to the public, there are wonderfully knowledgeable volunteers that take you through the history and artifacts that are still set up as they were back in the 1800's. It is neat to see how communication evolved, as well as the science and materials behind the ideas. The stand alone building is an old home and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to go through. There is free parking in the back.

One of my top historic places on the Cape! The place may not hold much interest for smaller kids, but there is plenty of obsolete tech to geek out on!nnNot to mention you can get a unique souvenir here in the form of a Morse code message using the original equipment! Very cool place, that is easily overlooked! Oh, and it's FREE!

Went several years back. Was interesting to view some history of communication. Before cell phones and airplanes people relied on the Trans Atlantic cables for communication with Europe. People use to have to maybe wait months to hear of news abroad with the construction of the cable it created and allowed faster communication with faraway places.
