When we travel South, to visit family and vacation, we always stay at Hampton in Cornelius and Hampton in Harrisonburg(University Drive). Harrisonburg Hampton should take some lessons from Cornelius Hampton (excellent hotel) on how to run a hotel. First, the people at the desk were not friendly. When my wife ask for another water the person never said no or yes just gave it to her...was not good body language. NO antiseptic liquid in the dispenser at the elevator floors, NO coffee was made at 7 AM, The decaf looked like tea it was so weak. The carpet in the room is worn and coming apart and they need brighter light bulbs in the bathroom. I went to checkout and no one was at the desk. I guess we will look for another hotel in this area when traveling South.. no more stays here. I didn’t think this was Hampton quality.

Good hotel working hard to keep cleanliness first. Asst Manager Melissa was helpful in extending our stay. There were a few other sanitation things they could do to really carry that out through the entire stay/experience (like maybe keeping wipes in the room, etc) but overall a really good experience!

Great room. I love the sheets we had. Checking in was easy. We like how the room had modern look and the pull out couch was big enough for 2 people to sleep in. Great location for dinning out.

I think my expectations were too high. I guess I don’t know what a three star hotel is supposed to be. This place is kinda rundown and our room wasn’t the greatest. But it’s clean and the staff are decent.

Room was small, desk and night stands showed obvious wear. Femal front desk clerk at check in was super friendly, professional, Jessica in the morning for check out was the same, professional, super friendly. Although being dated would stay here again. Close to everything.
