Independence Place Apartments - Prince George

Move in experience was smooth. We were traveling from Alaska and they had the apartment ready when we arrived. Biggest issue was the cleanliness of the apartment prior to move in. The range/oven/microwave area was honestly pretty gross. There was still grease all over the cabinets and food debris on the shelves. The microwave handle was broken off and the fan/lighting over the range didn’t work. (Work order submitted, we’ll see if it’s fixed). For the money that you pay for this place I would have expected they to at least clean the apartment before you move in. Really makes you wonder how well the other surfaces were cleaned/disinfected.nnAside from that one area, the rest of the apartment seemed pretty clean (we wiped everything down just to be safe). The staff is very helpful and the amenities are a huge plus. Gym is small but has what you need to get a solid workout in. It’s also so ridiculously close to work which makes mornings very easy.nnEven at 3 stars I’d still recommend this place to others since they do offer fully furnished apartments (big plus to people constantly on the move) and the move in experience was so easy even from the other side of the country.

It was such a pleasure meeting Courtney at independence place. Soon as I drove up I knew that this was the place for me. Courtney was amazing. Her attitude her smile her knowledge about the facility. Every question I had I got an answer to., with kindness and courtesy. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome.

My experience getting an apartment here was awesome! Courtney was super dope and personable. She made my process very easy and I was in my apartment the very next day! If you're looking for housing in the area and independence place is for you.....ask for Courtney she'll take care of you!

Jamal Childs was my maintenance man on this morning. He did an absolutely amazing job on my front door lock. The night before, I was standing outside for 20 minutes trying to unlock my door. I put in a maintenance request at 11:20pm, he was here the next morning by 9am. He was fast and efficient and very courteous. I am very pleased with his work!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE!nnMy wife had an apartment there, and paid the upfront deposit - expecting that to be used for the 'cleaning fee'.nnAfter they billed us for this, twice, cleared it off and then charged us again. We contacted them and explained this to them, along with the disruption that we had when we lost our air conditioning during the entire summer. This PLUS the fact that the apartment was poorly painted in between tenants and we had to ask to have repainting and repairs done.nnWe were OVERLY nice about this, but apparently that wasn't even considered.nnOn February 4th, 2021, our credit was hit AGAIN with this bill.nnAt this point, we are likely to take LEGAL ACTION against them, as this damaged our credit right at a time of looking for a new home, without any notification. This does NOT seem an ethical practice.nnAgain:nnDO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE.
