Microtel Inn Suites by Wyndham South Hill

Whew let me tell you. I have been staying at this hotel since they first open. When I first started staying it was wonderful and the front desk was amazing. Now I don't know what has happened within these last 5 to 6 months. It's like they just let any and everybody do what they want in the hotel. Just messing up a perfecting good hotel and bring it down to S**t. I was very disappointed these last few stays. Front desk at night not even in uniform they have on PAJAMAS. SMH. Not only that my niece and nephew went down to ask about pool and the lady them I am the phone wait a minute (personal cellphone). She comes back out and they still were waiting for her to get off her cell. Like wow I though the guest comes first. Not only that my moms hotel room no hot water nor was the shower working correctly. Someone came in and she stated now its working. That was BS. My room decor pillows were NASTY like NASTY. it was red stains all on the carpet, so I informed them the next day please change the decor pillows as they weren't clean. Lady at first desk stated okay I we have some new ones. Never did room service come in and change nor did they give service while I was there. To top it off BEDBUGS came out of no where.nnPlease guys do better. I have an account that I book directly through you all and its sad to see such a beautiful hotel go to waste because your employee's can't get it together while upper management isn't there.

Very nice stay! Front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. Hotel was very clean, social distancing guidelines were posted and followed by guests and staff. We felt very safe during the mist of the pandemic. Room was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable. We stop in South Hill every year to visit family and choose to stay at a hotel when we do. This was our first stay here, but definitely won’t be our last.

I would give this hotel 6 starts if I could! It was very clean, the rooms are comfortable, and I really enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be back.

Stayed at Microtel in August of 2020 unexpectedly due to our car breaking down. The front staff were incredibly nice and courteous and provided us a list of possible nearby places for dinner. The rooms were small (hence the name!), but very clean and more than sufficient for our needs. We got an extremely pleasant phone call in the morning from the front end telling us about the weather and that our breakfast was ready.nnI'd stay there again - mostly due to the friendliness of the staff and room cleanliness.

The rooms were clean and hospitality was exceptional. We met Jon Evans there and he was more than nice he was absolutely professional and he worked swiftly with getting guests checked in. He was very knowledgeable answering any questions we had and we were absolutely pleased. Also the young man on staff at the front desk on the morning of November 22, was also so polite with excellent manners. When I asked for an item he quickly retrieved it, and his attire was neat and I place and that to me speaks volumes. The professionalism and cleanliness of this particular location is superb.
