Heliotrope Brewing

I was told about this place through family and it did not disappoint. The beers are unique and an option for anyone. The Za'atar pizza was delicious. If I had to pick one beer the Chasing Ghosts German Porter was our favorite. Staff was polite, friendly and engaging. Will be back soon.

Delicious and unique craft beers. We got the appetizer sampler and the everything was wonderful and well seasoned. The pizza was unique and perfectly made - the cherry on top of an excellent experience!

Very fun spot and nice to sit in the alley. Pizza was quite good but a bit undercooked. Salads excellent.

I stopped by cuz my close friend was raving how good it is. He is very picky so I had to make an effort to check it out. Wow the beers are very good and I’m definitely coming back for more! I’ve been to many so so breweries but this one is definitely worth your patronage. What’s more I’m deaf and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome. That meant a lot to me.

Normally I don't feel inclined to write long reviews, but I’m really saddened by the decline in the quality of this establishment. When I visited before back in July or August, I had an excellent experience with both the beer, service, and the pizza (which was Cubano-inspired). Front of house was friendly, I got my pizza in a timely manner, the beer was filled to the brim, and the food was perfectly cooked. I regret not leaving a review at the time.nWhen I went back again after the snowing stopped I thought I’d be returning to a similar experience. However, I was wrong. The beer pours were a bit light, which is especially unfortunate when you consider the price of a drink here, but the beer itself wasn’t bad at all. The pizza however, took ages to get out to me while they weren’t even that busy. What I got for thirty bucks was a few decent beers and a margherita pizza with a hole in it (covered up with cheese, so they knew) and the bottom crust tasted like the rack of my grill after a summer of bbqing.nIt’s upsetting to see a place that was once quite good fall so far; I hope they can get their act together in the future.
