It was a beautiful day we got some delicious barbecue and sat outside and watch the boats. Plus it inspired us to take the ferry ride to Portsmouth and back. Side note you need exact cash for the ferry. There's a machine you can buy more tickets with your credit card on the Portsmouth side, they need one on the Norfolk side.

I missed the old Waterside when it was in its prime. I've heard stories about how it used to be good but when I started making yearly Norfolk trips, it was a super run down place with only three or four things open and never had people in it. But now... They did such an amazing job revitalizing this area! The change is incredible! There are now many good quality restaurants here with some dessert places too. There are people everywhere inside, everything had a good crowd every night I went. This has to be such a good economy boost for Norfolk. The decorations outside are quite nice as well. Unfortunately, I've always been when it was on the colder side, but even then the outside areas were pretty populated. I'm sure this is quite an amazing place to hang out at during the warmer months as well. You definitely need to come and see the new waterside!

Fun walk on bridge from parking garage to main building. Unfortunately we showed up on a weekday when they were closed so I recommend confirming the hours of operation by calling ahead. Still a nice walk and beautiful scenery. I imagine it is a fun lively place during the weekend evenings.

I remember coming here as a kid and the arcade that play area that used to run the area. Taking the ferry across the water was my favorite. It has grown with me now a fully open rumpus room with food drinks and fun all around. I can only ask for is a dive bar with games and fun... Oh wait they have that tooud83dudc66ud83cudfff my Norfolk waterside experience is complete. Now if your brave take the scooters and race around for a fun time.
