My family and I spends a week at the Colonies yearly and has enjoyed our stay. I have made several suggestions when checking out and at owner meetings that the property needs more amenities. The club house is too small, more activities for teens are needed. I've suggested a ice cream shop, small convenient store to grab one or two items instead of having to go to Walmart or Food Lion. Miniature golf would be good as well. When you visit other resorts like in Florida, etc. they offer much more.

The apartment itself was good for a family of 5. We had everything we needed. However, it was nearly impossible for us to use pool during our stay as that had to be reserved in person and only 24-hours ahead for the next day. We gave after two attempts when everything was already reserved.

A great place to stay. Every employee has been helpful and nice. We would like to return. One issue is you need more parking so you can park at your unit.

Pool not clean, ants & spiders in room. Loved my balcony view. The room was spacious & clean. Nice scenery and staff. Games do not work in game room.
