Dont bother to speak to their phone operators (Cindy), its like speaking to robots with no empathy or compassion. That is truly unfortunate. When someone calls a hospital he expects to be understood and be given all the time to explain what he wants and try to work with him to find some help, not just trying to end the call as fast as possible especially with an attitude!

Just wondering if there is a particular reason for refusing to give a type 1 diabetic patient insulin for over 3 hours while their blood sugar is over 400. If you have diabetes you'll have to sneak in your own insulin and treat yourself when the nurses are away. This has happened multiple times so I'm noticing that this is not a one time mistake but being done on purpose. That high of a blood sugar is already dangerous and with nearly needing to be on dialysis having to void that much sugar is extremely bad for one's health. Only reason for 2 stars instead of just one is they did do a good job of treating the condition the patient came in for so they aren't bad if you only have one medical condition.nnEdit: this hospital is entirely inconsiderate of family caregivers of patients who need ongoing assistance once released from the hospital, after my latest experience dealing with you I wish there was something below 1 star I could give you.

My 3 year old son has regular endoscopes and has had then done at a few different facilities. The GE lab nurses and anesthesiologists have been very understanding and accommodating to my sons fear of the hospital. The child life specialist (who my son calls Dr. Molly) always has the right toys and distractions and even gets my son ready for the procedure through play so he has fun doing it. They have been on time and even quick (without making us feel rushed) on procedure days. This has been our favorite facility for his procedures and it takes a lot of stress out of an already stressful day.

Idk what's going on with this place but just went to the ER and they were absolutely terrible. I can't believe km going to have to pay HUNDREDS of dollars and they literally didn't do anything for me and had me waiting for HOURS for NOTHING. The nurse who did my blood work was really nice and comforting though.

Amazing hospital, they took wonderful care of my mom here in the ER. Sending a special thanks to Operator Cindy for her professionalism and warmth, and to Jenny in the ER for her empathy and caring. She put my mind at ease by reassuring me that my mom was receiving great care. I am so incredibly grateful to INOVA Fairfax Hospital for being there for my mom! It means so much to me and my family. INOVA employs truly excellent people.
