This is a great museum. It has an incredibly detailed toy city(Roanoke) with toy trains running around. It has quite a few trains and different train cars that can teach people. The outside has many other vehicles that you can go walk around and see. It has educational videos placed around the museum that are fun to watch and learn. It has great car, flight, bus, and boat sections. They are very COVID friendly activity also. I bought a membership and visit with my 3 yo once every other week.
Very nice museum, we went on a Saturday and we had the whole museum for ourselves. The kids loved, adults loved too. Good place to spend some educational time if you are in Roanoke.
It's a great museum. I wish they had the funds to restore all the interesting train cars and other pieces of equipment that they have on site
Very cool place. Cars, trains and planes. The locomotive collection is awesome! Can't wait to go back after Covid restrictions are lifted.
