The Fish House

Service was quick for a carry out combo. The fries were good and hot but had been fried in the same oil as the fish. So the fries had a used fish oil taste. On the other hand the scrod ( palm size and thick )was good.

Great food at very affordable prices. Always served hot and to your order. Great place to eat.

The owner of this place was so friendly! Food was delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and perfectly crispy. Also, highly recommend the jalapeno hush puppies.

A wonderful mom and pop diner. They have brownies, fish, mac n cheese, and hush puppies. It is another quietude type place of peaceful contemplation here in Lou. It could be a reasonable place for a non-fancy date for a mature couple. It's not high priced and super fancy, but still gives that calm of a real diner. I can imagine WC Fields smoking and reading a paper in a corner of this place, if they had recliners. All they need is some stain glass lamp shades and some of that green turf carpet to complete the aesthetic. It could be that kind of place. A place with a throw back aesthetic which is classy without being boojie.

The fish wasn’t bad with sauce. Doesn’t seem like much seasoning use used besides pepper and the hush puppies were very dry and tasteless. The price wasn’t bad, I came here a few years ago and was definitely better then.
