Fantastic museum! Even with some parts being closed for COVID it was still well worth it. Wish I had more time to visit-- it could easily take 5+ hours to read everything.

Great place to learn more Alaskan History.

The price is a bit higher than I would like but with at least 5 building of planes and history to look at it is worth a stop when you have time. It mostly focuses on aviation in Alaska but also talks about the impact of World War II on the state as well.nThere are some hands on exhibits for the kids and a documentary to watch so everyone can enjoy their visit. If you make your way out to the restoration hanger be sure to look over the works in progress and talk to the people putting in their time.

Great place and a must-see for aviation enthusiasts. Museum not only displays various aircraft but also covers the impact the aircraft had on the development of Alaska. You can easily spend an hour (when the sun is out) sitting on the terrace of the old tower and watch sea planes taking off. Friendliness of the staff really made my day, thanks!

The Pilgrim 100-B N709Y was built in 1932 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. There were only 10 planes like this produced. The Alaska Aviation Museum houses this plane. This is an excellent Museum to go to for Aviation Historical Information.
