Champions at Sidney Glen Elementary

Never send your kids here. I had used champions in the past in another location of Washington and had great experiences.nMs. Kayla’s idea of supervising children was allowing my son to get beat up on multiple occasions. Ms. Kayla would praise negative behaviors and discredit any emotions from my child because he “wasn’t a trouble child”. When my son Would come to Ms. Kayla for help, she wouldn’t help and ignored the pleas. My son didn’t feel safe while in her care and was genuinely afraid. I had to leave work to rescue my son from these events. Thank god he had a phone to call me cause they refused to let them use their phone, the school phone, and pretended to not know my number. Like it’s not in his folder! I’d had serval talks with multiple people about this on numerous occasions. When speaking with Ms. Kayla about these incidents she put on these enormous crying scenes.n(After the multiple interactions with her and watching her even yell at the kids, I truly believe she has possible bipolar and narcissistic tendencies, she will play the victim and pretend she doesn’t understand.I really don’t think she should be working with children. Going from pretend happy to angry yelling or sobbing the next min is not practical or stable for young children.)nI would think the problem was resolved but it wasn’t and it would happen again the next day.nI promptly removed my son from this horrible program. And then Ms. Kayla would stalk my son in the hallways of the school to say she missed son and wanted him to come back to the program. He was obviously very uncomfortable based of his reactions back but she would continue to harass him. After the traumatic events that occurred there, it was causing him to relive the trauma and abuse again. I actually had to call the principal to ask him to make her stop contact with my son, otherwise my next action would to be get a restraining order because my son was seriously traumatized and boundaries couldn’t be respected. This all took place during the beginning school year of 2019. I’ve asked the champions program director to Kathy Toves to remove me from the emailing list but guess what. They can’t respect that boundary either. You shouldn’t have to ask more than once. The last email that I’ve received is today 8/30/20
