Content was great, but the driving tour should NEVER be navigated by a large rig, especially with a toad. The road (not really a road) has two way traffic but not enough room for two large vehicles to get by each other without being precipitously close to a drop-off edge. Not at all a pleasurable drive. You have no warning about the narrow path BEFORE you begin, and once you're on it, you have no choice but to complete the 5 mile, white- knuckled drive.
Historical and emotional place to visit. I grew up as a kid in the 1960s on tv shows and movies about General Custer, Sitting Bull and the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Seeing it in person, really brings things into perspective and it is a truely emotional experience.
Staff was rude. The only nice person that was helpful was the Volunteer who told the stories on the patio. Very important piece of American culture to see. You could spend 1 hour doing the 5 mile driving audio tour or 5 hours walking around checking out the side monuments.
Loved it. So interesting and sobering.
