It is a beautiful drive and access to the site is easy. We spent a couple of hours at the fossils and then moved to the garnet digging. Kenneth, the owner, was SUPER helpful. We only had to pay for the garnets we dug. Got some fabulous sized stones and will have jewelry made.

My wife and I had a great time at the Fossil Bowl! Ken and his family took great care of us and helped us dig some fascinating fossils. Plus, we ended up also getting some star garnets. Can't wait to get the polished!
Super fun for anyone who likes digging in the dirt! The owners are incredibly friendly and willing to help newcomers and veterans alike.
