If you're wanting to kayak or canoe this is a great park to visit. Good fishing too. You can catch some nice size rainbows and browns. Good for taking your powerboat out for the day too although there's not much room to run at speed and get out early for both fishing and paddling. The lake gets busier with powerboats later on the morning and it gets a bit crowded and choppy for paddling and quiet fishing. RV hookups, campsites, bathrooms... Everything you need for a weekend as well

I really like Topaz lake. Owning a boat it is usually frustrating trying to launch the boat but the boat docks were easy and accessible. Near the docks is a stand with multiple sinks to clean and gut any fish you catch, unfortunately I got to see it and not use it! Camping is fun, if you camp in the primitive campsites just prepare for a rocky terrain to greet you. My only advice would be to bring lots of mosquito repellent.

It was the first day of the year it was over 70 degrees. This is a Beautiful lake. Easy to find a spot this time of year.nWhere you can have privacy. I've been going to this lake for over Thirty years. Never disappointed.

I love this little lake, fyi, day use is debit cards only, not sure about the other stuff. Got a little too windy too early today. But it's fine, we'll be back in a few days to try it again. 50 minute drive.
