This review is just for the hot springs - pretty busy considering covid but didn’t feel unsafe. Two large pools, two different temperatures. Honestly, this place being right off the highway, charging $30 a person, and only really having two pools - the price feels a little steep. But the water is amazing and you’ll definitely enjoy yourself.
We stopped here since several trails were closed due to recent fire and we needed to see what was open. Kara was absolutely amazing! She told us about the open hikes and listened to what we wanted. She was so knowledgeable of the area and such a help to us. We loved the Red Mountain trail that she recommended. We even called her the next day for more details about our day trip to Aspen. She shared hidden gems with us, was always friendly, and gave us ample time to ask questions. Thank you, Kara!

Big pools and perfect temperature setting to stay for a long time.
While I was able to find the information I needed, I expected much more from a visitor center in a town with such a rich history and tourist draw. There are only a few racks of brochures, no informational or historic displays. Definitely does not serve as a good point of orientation for visiting the town.
