Glenwood Hot Springs Pool

This is a nice hot springs pool. I went here while I was at Glenwood Springs and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into the hot springs building, where I paid the entrance fee. I went up to the changing room and changed into the swim suit. I put my clothes in one of the lockers in the changing room, and the room was pretty clean. I went out to the hot springs pool, which was very large, and found a nice pool chair by it. I put down my stuff on the pool chair and went into the pool. The pool was a normal pool temperature, which felt very nice compared to how cold it was outside the pool (it was only forty degrees Fahrenheit outside). After I spent a long time swimming around and relaxing in the pool, I got out and left, satisfied with my experience. I gave this hot springs pool five stars because it’s very large and is nice and warm.

We decided to rent a Cabana from 3-8pm. There were 2 lounge chairs outside the cabana. We were unable to move them outta the sun as they had them cabled to the ground. Inside the Cabana they had some nice patio type furnaces and a refrigerator; however, the refrigerator was not plugged in which left the bottles of water (that was included in the cost) warm.nNo where on the website did it mention that there would be no wait staff service to the Cabana’s. We ended up calling from the Cabana to find this out.nJust an hour into our time at the pool there was an announcement stating they were closing the snack area at 5:00pm. The pool is open till 9:00pm. Why would you stop food service that early?nnTo top off our time at the pool, we witnessed a lady leaving the hot pool and blood was pouring out of her swim suite. Being a female I understand to a point, but this was beyond a small mishap. From a far we could clearly see the amount of blood draining from this ladies swim suite. We made a complaint but nothing was ever done.nnSo our complaints are:nn1. You spent extra money on a cabana but you still have to pay another $30/per person to get into the pool.n2. No service at the Cabana but still had to pay full price.n3. Couldn’t move the chair and the refrigerator didn’t work.n4. Early closure of the snack area.n5. No one seemed to care about the lady bleeding Heavily into the pool.nnLast but not least. As much money as this pool brings in, maybe they should try some upkeep to the bigger pools. They look the same as when I cam 10 years ago. What has been updated, it’s open for use.

Beautiful view of the mountains from inside the hot spring. The water was nice and hot and everything was clean. The bathrooms were huge and they have water fountains and showers as well which was really nice. We stayed in the no name park and ride overnight which was only 8 minutes away. This was a really enjoyable soak in the am after camping in the car! For $22/ person this was definitely worth it.

Life-changing experience. This has become a regular go-to on a monthly basis for self-care and the reason I am looking to move closer. Inside and out, you will feel a huge difference in the way you feel and look! I like to bring a gallon or bottle of water to stay hydrated. Wearing a beanie when it’s cold helps retain heat! Diving board at the end of the cooler pool.

Absolutely beautiful scenery all around! Hotel Colorado is within visual distance and surrounded by the beautiful mountains! We had some snow on the mountains around us and there was a little chill, so it was perfect being in the warm hot springs pool outside. If we had kids, this place would be perfect for families. We will come back again!
